FAQ’s
Find answers to common questions about our LPX system.
+
- What is the LPX System Designed for?
- The LPX System is built for homes on treated municipal water in cities, towns, and villages. It’s designed to remove chlorine, fluoride, scale, and other added chemicals while providing high-quality water for full household use.
- Client Maintenance Frequency
- Varies by water quality and usage. Most systems for untreated water require filter changes every 3–6 months.
- Is this different from a traditional water softener?
- Yes. A traditional water softener only removes hardness minerals using salt. The LPX System goes further by removing chlorine, fluoride, scale, and other added chemicals found in municipal water — delivering higher-quality water throughout your entire home without relying on salt.
- How Much Water Does the System Waste?
- The LPX System operates at a 1:1 product-to-reject ratio, meaning for every gallon of treated water produced, only one gallon is rejected. This makes it one of the most efficient whole-home systems in the industry and more efficient than most point-of-use RO systems.
- Who Installs and Services the Systems?
- All our systems are professionally manufactured, installed and serviced by Walker's Water Systems.
- Can This System be Expanded or Upgraded Later?
- Yes. The LPX System is modular and can be adjusted or expanded if your water usage changes or additional buildings are added.
- Is the LPX System Safe for my Septic System?
- Yes. The LPX System is safe for septic systems. It does not use salt or harsh chemicals that can negatively impact septic performance.
